Zenless Zone Zero Introduces New Character Yanagi

The world of Zenless Zone Zero is set to expand with the introduction of its latest Agent, Tsukishiro Yanagi, arriving in the upcoming update. Renowned for its diverse factions, each contributing to the safety and improvement of New Eridu against Hollow monsters, Yanagi represents one of the city’s most formidable groups.

As the Deputy Chief of the Hollow Special Operations Section 6, commonly known as Section 6, Yanagi is part of an elite armed force under H.A.N.D. This faction serves as the primary response team during high-stakes Hollow crises, making its members some of the most powerful characters in the Zenless Zone Zero narrative. Currently, the only playable Agent from Section 6 is A-Rank Ice character Soukaku, but soon, Yanagi will join her ranks.

The announcement of Yanagi's addition came via Zenless Zone Zero's social media, revealing that she will feature in Version 1.3 of the game. Yanagi will be an Electric-type Anomaly character, capable of dealing significant Anomaly Buildup to enemies. While her exact rank has not been disclosed, many fans speculate that she may debut as the first S-tier banner character of this version.

Character Insights on Yanagi

In the Zenless Zone Zero storyline, Yanagi is depicted as a composed Agent dedicated to protecting civilians from Hollows and defeating powerful Ethereals, such as Nineveh. Although Section 6 has mainly operated behind the scenes, Yanagi’s playability may bring more focus to this faction in the main narrative of Version 1.3. Many players have expressed enthusiasm about pulling for Yanagi and anticipate the addition of other Section 6 Agents in future banners.

With Zenless Zone Zero’s combat system taking cues from the mechanics of Street Fighter 6, having a balanced team is crucial for executing the most effective combos.
