World of Warcraft has exciting news for fans – the class-specific armor and weapon sets from last year’s Trading Post are making a comeback in November, but this time with a significant change. Players will now be able to equip these coveted transmogs on any character that can wear the corresponding armor or wield the right weapon, lifting the original class restrictions.

From September to December of last year, World of Warcraft introduced exclusive armor and weapon sets for each of the game’s 13 classes via the Trading Post. These sets featured transmogs for head, shoulders, and belts, while the arsenals offered unique weapons. Previously, each ensemble and arsenal was tied to a specific class, limiting their use to players of that class only.

Returning Trading Post Sets with More Flexibility

This year, however, World of Warcraft is bringing back these stunning sets with added flexibility. Come November, players can once again pick up these ensembles and arsenals from the Trading Post, but now without the class restrictions. For example, a Death Knight or Warrior can now transmog the Plate of the Light Avenger set, previously exclusive to Paladins. Similarly, any class capable of using one-handed swords can now wield the Blood Onyx Shortblade, even if they aren’t a Rogue.

What to Expect in November’s Trading Post

When these sets first debuted last year, each armor ensemble cost 450 Trader’s Tender, while the weapon arsenals were priced at 500. It's expected that these prices will remain unchanged when the sets return. With all 13 class-specific sets becoming available again, players will need to carefully manage their Trader’s Tender if they hope to collect more than a few of these sets. Those who haven’t been saving their Trader’s Tender may find it difficult to acquire all the sets before they disappear again.

This update has been a game-changer for many fans. The initial class restrictions were one of the few drawbacks to these otherwise stunning cosmetics. Now, players who previously purchased these sets will enjoy even greater versatility, as they can now use them across a broader range of characters. The community has welcomed this news with excitement, as it opens up new possibilities for customizing characters and creating unique transmogs.

Possible Future Updates for Other WoW Sets

Interestingly, during WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria, recolored versions of these same weapon and armor sets were made available in exchange for Bronze. While there’s no word yet on whether these recolored sets will also have their class restrictions lifted, players are hopeful that they, too, will receive the same treatment. If that happens, even more transmog options will become available, offering players greater creative freedom in personalizing their characters.

With the return of these flexible transmogs just around the corner, World of Warcraft players have plenty to look forward to this November.
