A fresh leak from Genshin Impact has sparked excitement by teasing the new characters set to appear in the gacha banners for the highly anticipated Versions 5.2 and 5.3 updates. With the introduction of a new region, HoYoverse’s RPG has already seen a wave of fresh characters, including both four-star and five-star additions. Version 5.0 brought players Mualani and Kinich as new five-star units, while Version 5.1 is set to debut Xilonen. Now, even more eagerly awaited characters are on the horizon.
The trio introduced in Version 5.0 is just a taste of what’s to come in Natlan. Trailers for the sixth playable region have showcased a wide array of future characters, including Chasca, Iansan, and the Pyro Archon Mavuika, among others. The first update for the region also introduced several key figures in the Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame storyline. And now, new leaks are pointing to the imminent arrival of four more characters.
A well-known leaker in the HoYoverse community, hxg_diluc, has shared information via fellow leaker DK2 about the release timeline for several upcoming Natlan characters. According to these leaks, Version 5.2 will introduce two new characters: Chasca, a five-star unit, and Olorun, a four-star character. The rumors also suggest that Mavuika, a highly anticipated Pyro Archon, will make her debut in Version 5.3, alongside Citlali, another five-star unit. Based on the leak, Version 5.2 is slated for release in November, with Version 5.3 expected to follow in late December or early January.
Version 5.2:
- Chasca: Five-star Anemo character
- Olorun: Four-star Electro character
Version 5.3:
- Mavuika: Five-star Pyro character
- Citlali: Five-star Cryo character
The potential confirmation of Mavuika's appearance in Version 5.3 has generated plenty of buzz, as rumors about her playstyle have been circulating for some time. Earlier leaks suggested that players might get a brief opportunity to control Mavuika during the Archon Quest in Version 5.1. Additionally, early details about her abilities hint that she may take on a supportive role, focusing on buffing teammates. Some leaks even describe her as a refined version of characters like Dehya and Xiangling.
While fans can already start anticipating the new characters for future updates, the upcoming Version 5.1 has its own exciting features. In addition to introducing a new reward system to encourage exploration, which will grant players Primogems for uncovering new areas, Version 5.1 will also include a special event in the Sumeru region. Players will help prepare for the Sabzeruz Festival, giving them plenty to explore and enjoy before Versions 5.2 and 5.3 roll out.
With so many exciting additions and events on the horizon, Genshin Impact players have much to look forward to in the coming months. Whether it’s new characters or enticing rewards, the future looks bright for this beloved RPG.
