How to Play Crystal Treasures

The dig events in Monopoly Go have quickly become a fan favorite—and it’s easy to see why. These events give players plenty of opportunities to discover prizes buried in the ground, even beyond the 20 main milestones. You’ll also find free pickaxes and dice rolls scattered throughout the event.

Here are some ways to collect pickaxes for Crystal Treasures:

- Participate in center-screen events and daily tournaments on the right side of the screen. These activities frequently offer free pickaxes as part of milestone rewards.

- Complete your Daily Goals, which will not only give you free dice rolls and extra cash but also toss in some pickaxes.

- Pickaxes can also be found while digging through the current Crystal Treasures board, even on tiles without treasure.

- Some milestone rewards will offer a few extra pickaxes to help you tackle the next board.

The primary goal in the Crystal Treasures event is to uncover the items displayed in the box at the top of the screen. Sofia will show you an outline of the object, and from there, it’s up to you to dig and find it within the grid. It takes at least one pickaxe to excavate a tile, but be cautious—tiles with rocks will require more hits to clear.

Uncover the helpful moles as you dig, and they’ll automatically clear tiles around them in different patterns. Some will clear vertical lines, others horizontal, and a few will even clear a circle of tiles. Finding these little guys can save you a lot of effort, so dig carefully!

You’ll typically reveal a piece of the treasure as you dig, giving you a hint about its direction. The size of the treasure varies with each of the 20 levels, so focus on the tiles with treasure underneath to avoid wasting your pickaxes.

Crystal Treasures: Rewards and Milestones

Each of the 20 levels in Crystal Treasures comes with its own reward, but two standout prizes are worth highlighting. After completing board 10, you’ll unlock the Crystal Crest shield skin, featuring a striking Monopoly “M” within an amethyst gem. Meanwhile, board 17 offers the Twinkle Tail token, an adorable axolotl to accompany you around your Monopoly Go boards.

In addition to these exclusive items, you’ll earn thousands of free dice rolls and sticker packs in a variety of colors—perfect timing for the Marvel Go sticker album season, which just kicked off last week. You’ll also replenish pickaxes as you hit certain milestones, making it easier to continue your digging spree.
