LEGO Creations Bring Baldur's Gate 3 Characters to Life

A dedicated Baldur’s Gate 3 fan has brought some of the game’s most beloved characters to life—using nothing but LEGO. Since its release in 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 has captivated both fans and critics, shattering records on Steam and winning numerous Game of the Year accolades.

Set in the rich world of Dungeons & Dragons, this RPG offers players a vast array of characters to meet, interact with, and even romance. The game’s freedom allows players to handle situations creatively, inspiring one fan to take this flexibility a step further, translating virtual characters into physical LEGO creations.

The fan, known as Lopiz38 on Reddit, recreated several standout characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 using pieces from the recently released LEGO Dungeons & Dragons Minifigure collection. In their post, Lopiz38 showcases fan-favorites such as Shadowheart, Karlach, Gale, Lae’zel, Wyll, Withers, and Astarion, all meticulously assembled in recognizable LEGO minifigure form. Each figure comes with accessories and weapons reminiscent of their in-game counterparts, and to complete the set, Lopiz38 also crafted their own version of Tav, the game’s default player character.

The post has been well-received, with the Reddit community praising Lopiz38 for their attention to detail and creativity. Some fans have even requested additional characters, such as Minthara, to be made into LEGO form. Unfortunately, Lopiz38 responded that the limited pieces available in the current sets made creating an accurate version of Minthara impossible.

As of now, there is no official collaboration between Baldur’s Gate 3 and LEGO, but there’s still plenty for fans of Dungeons & Dragons to be excited about. Wizards of the Coast, the makers of D&D, are preparing to release an updated version of the core rules for the first time in a decade. This update promises to overhaul most character classes and offer players more creative freedom in shaping their characters.

Meanwhile, for those still immersed in Baldur’s Gate 3, there’s even more to look forward to. Larian Studios is about to launch Patch 7, a major update for the game. Initially arriving for PC, the patch will soon be available for Mac and console players as well. Highlights of the update include a new ending for the Dark Urge storyline and the long-anticipated addition of player mods.
