It’s been more than two and a half years since Kingdom Hearts 4 was officially unveiled, but news about the game has been scarce ever since. This long silence has left the game's passionate fanbase eager for any updates.

Sadly, it seems their wait for new information will continue a bit longer, as Square Enix has all but confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 won't make an appearance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

Square Enix Reveals Tokyo Game Show 2024 Lineup, Kingdom Hearts Nowhere in Sight

Kingdom Hearts 4 Likely Absent from Tokyo Game Show

The Tokyo Game Show 2024 was seen by many as the perfect opportunity for Kingdom Hearts fans to finally get some news. After all, the series has a huge following in Japan, the latest game is set in Tokyo, and it’s being developed by a major Japanese studio. Yet, much to the dismay of fans, it looks like the game won’t be featured.

Square Enix has shared its official lineup for the event, which includes:

- Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake

- Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven

- Fantasian Neo Dimension

- Final Fantasy 14 Online

- Final Fantasy 16

- Life Is Strange: Double Exposure

- Dragon Quest Monsters 3: The Dark Prince

- PowerWash Simulator

- Visions of Mana

As disappointing as it may be for the Kingdom Hearts community, the game is notably absent from this list.

There’s still a chance Square Enix is keeping things under wraps and might surprise everyone with a reveal during the show. However, as the days tick by, that possibility seems to be fading.
