Currently, the game features seven elemental "Types" and seven distinct Paths that define each character's role. The latest rumors suggest that an eighth Path might soon be joining the lineup.

In Honkai: Star Rail, Paths are crucial for shaping a character's playstyle and abilities. Paths such as The Hunt and Destruction are geared towards offensive roles, while Abundance and Harmony are designed for support. HoYoverse has hinted at several additional Paths through the game's lore and the Simulated Universe, including Remembrance, Elation, and Voracity. Now, a recent leak suggests that the Remembrance Path could be making its debut as a playable option.

Leak Teases Addition of Remembrance Path

According to Sakura Haven, a well-known leaker in the Honkai: Star Rail community, the upcoming update may introduce the Remembrance Path as the game’s newest class. Details remain scarce, with no information yet on the identity of the first Remembrance character or the exact release date. Currently, Remembrance is only available in the Simulated Universe, not in the main game.

The Remembrance Path in the Simulated Universe focuses on the Freeze status effect, enhancing damage and providing various buffs when enemies are Frozen. It also employs the "Dissociation" mechanic to extend Freeze effects and deal additional Ice Damage. Since Dissociation is not utilized outside the Simulated Universe, its introduction could offer new strategic elements to the gameplay.

If this leak proves accurate, it would mark the first new class addition to Honkai: Star Rail since its launch in early 2023. The game has previously incorporated non-playable Paths into its storyline, such as the "Masked Fools" with characters like Sparkle and Sampo who follow the Elation Aeon, Aha.
