Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Reveals 15 New Characters for the Roster

Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have revealed an exciting new batch of characters for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, featuring 15 fighters exclusively from Dragon Ball GT. With the game’s release date set for October 11, anticipation is building as fans eagerly await to see the diverse roster that spans the extensive Dragon Ball universe. While notable characters like Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta are well-represented, the game also includes several lesser-known characters from Dragon Ball Z and Super, including Cui, Bergamo, and Kakunsa.

Given the game’s emphasis on characters from Dragon Ball Z and Super, there were concerns that Dragon Ball GT content might be sidelined or reserved for downloadable content. Despite hints from Goku’s voice actor about GT content, previous trailers focused more on fusion forms and did not showcase GT characters. However, the latest trailer puts those concerns to rest by confirming the inclusion of several GT fighters.

The trailer highlights a new form of Goku—Goku (GT)—depicted as a child due to a wish made by Pilaf using the Black Star Dragon Balls. It also confirms that Pan, Goku’s granddaughter from GT, will be a playable character, dressed in her GT attire. Fans will also be able to play as Goku in his Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, and iconic Super Saiyan 4 forms, with a thrilling showcase against Baby Vegeta, a villain from GT who possesses Vegeta's body.

Interestingly, Super 17, a key villain in GT, is notably absent from this trailer.

With only 10 slots remaining in the roster for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, and with Dragon Ball Super yet to receive its own trailer, many fans are speculating that the final pre-launch trailer will focus on characters from that series.
