Fortnite continues to roll out content updates into late 2024, introducing one of its most anticipated seasonal events yet: Absolute Doom. This update pits players against the notorious Marvel villain Doctor Doom and incorporates a range of unique Marvel items and characters, making this event one of the most thrilling to date.

Following the excitement of the Nexus Wars update, which brought characters like Iron Man, Wolverine, and Mystique into the battle pass, the current season has continued this trend. However, the standout addition is a crossover skin that is sure to delight fans.

Introducing the Ghost Ri-Durrr Skin

The new Ghost Ri-Durrr skin exemplifies Fortnite’s playful approach to character design, blending Ghost Rider with the beloved Beef Boss skin, which originates from the in-game Durrr Burger restaurant. This inventive skin, featuring elements from both characters, debuted in the item shop on September 18, adding to the extensive collection of Marvel-themed cosmetics available in the game.

This isn’t the first time Fortnite has explored such crossovers; the current season’s battle pass also features a unique blend of Wolverine and Peeley. Players can also look forward to fresh Spider-Man content, as leakers have uncovered files hinting at a new Venom/Spider-Man crossover. Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 4 update, titled Absolute Doom, kicked off in August, transforming various map locations into grand castles and bustling town squares under Doctor Doom’s control. Players can challenge iconic Marvel villains like Emma Frost, Mysterio, and Doctor Doom himself, each of whom drops medallions that grant special abilities.
