In early October, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players will face an exciting new challenge as Infernape, the fourth-generation starter, makes its debut in Seven-Star Tera Raid dens. This arrival comes shortly after the departure of Serperior the Unrivaled, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown.
Known as the Flame Pokémon, Infernape first graced the Pokémon scene in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl as the Fire-type starter from the Sinnoh region. Evolving from Chimchar and Monferno, Infernape boasts a dual typing of Fire and Fighting. Renowned for its high speed, physical attack, and special attack stats, Infernape is one of the more favored starters from Sinnoh. However, this fiery Pokémon is not without its drawbacks, featuring lower HP and defenses, as well as vulnerabilities to Water, Flying, and Ground-type attacks. Players can obtain Infernape in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by catching a Chimchar in the Terarium’s Polar Biome and evolving it.
While the battle against Serperior the Unrivaled was relatively straightforward, trainers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will soon encounter a more formidable opponent. As reported by Serebii.net, Infernape the Unrivaled will appear in Seven-Star Tera Raid dens starting Thursday, October 3, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, and will conclude on Sunday, October 6, at 7:59 p.m. Eastern. For those who miss the initial encounter, there will be a second opportunity from October 10 to 13 during the same time frame. Infernape the Unrivaled will be a Rock-type Tera boss and will award the Mightiest Mark to players who successfully defeat it.
- Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will feature Infernape the Unrivaled in Seven-Star Tera Raids.
- The raids will take place from October 3 to 6, with an additional session from October 10 to 13.
- Infernape the Unrivaled will showcase the Rock Tera type and possess the hidden ability Iron Fist.
- Trainers must ensure their teams can withstand Infernape’s powerful attacks.
As with previous Tera Raid bosses, Infernape the Unrivaled will feature its Hidden Ability, Iron Fist, which enhances the power of punching moves by 50%. Expect moves like Mach Punch, Fire Punch, and Thunder Punch to be part of its attack strategy. Additionally, Infernape will leverage its Rock-type advantage with attacks such as Stone Edge or Rock Slide and may employ moves like Taunt and Swords Dance to disrupt opponents. While Rock-type Pokémon typically boast strong defenses, Infernape’s glass cannon nature renders it susceptible to Water, Ground, and Fighting-type moves.
For trainers, Pokémon with robust defenses that can also utilize moves like Body Press will be essential in the battle against Infernape the Unrivaled. It will be intriguing to see the strategies players develop to tackle this fiery foe.
