Street Fighter 6 has just rolled out a fresh update, bringing an exciting crossover with Capcom’s beloved Darkstalkers series. Following a recent collaboration with SNK that introduced Terry Bogard into the game, Capcom is now embracing the Halloween season with some spooky, themed content.
Although Street Fighter is one of Capcom’s most iconic franchises, Darkstalkers holds a special place in the hearts of many fans. Launched in the mid-1990s, Darkstalkers captured attention with its unique roster of supernatural characters, including werewolves, vampires, and other mystical creatures.
Among these characters, Felicia and Morrigan have become standout favorites, often featured in crossover titles like Marvel Vs. Capcom. With five games in the series, alongside ports and adaptations, Darkstalkers remains a beloved franchise. Now, thanks to this new crossover, Darkstalkers is making its return in Street Fighter 6.
Available until October 22, players can purchase the Darkstalkers Fighting Gala Pass for 250 Fighting Coins (equivalent to $5 USD) in the in-game store. This pass offers 30 levels of rewards, which can be unlocked by accumulating Kudos from completing weekly challenges. Some of the standout rewards include gear that allows players to transform their avatars into Jon Talbain, the werewolf fighter who has appeared in nearly every Darkstalkers title since its debut.
With the new Darkstalkers Fighting Pass, Street Fighter 6 players can earn rewards on both the free and paid tracks. While the free track offers basic rewards, the paid version includes special items like a photo frame, challenger screen, titles, and music. This marks another exciting collaboration in Street Fighter 6, which features a new theme each month via its Fighting Pass. Earlier this year, in March, the game saw a crossover with Mega Man, bringing themed cosmetics and items from another classic Capcom franchise.
As Street Fighter 6 players dive into this Darkstalkers-inspired content, the future of the Darkstalkers series remains unclear. The most recent appearance of the franchise was in 2022, when all five games were included in the Capcom Fighting Collection, available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. While fans eagerly await news of a new Darkstalkers game, Capcom has teased the possibility of reviving some of its long-dormant franchises. Until then, fans will have to make do with their favorite werewolves and vampires in Street Fighter 6.
