Gameloft is set to unveil another developer update video for Disney Dreamlight Valley on October 2. This upcoming devlog will provide exciting details about the next free update for the game, which has already had its theme and title revealed.

Marking a significant milestone, December 5 will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s official release, following a 15-month early access phase. Since its initial launch in September 2022, the game has enjoyed a steady stream of support, with 12 major content updates and 17 hotfixes—averaging over one update per month.

Get Ready for the Jungle Getaway Update

The momentum is set to continue with the announcement of the next major update, titled Jungle Getaway. While Gameloft hasn’t disclosed extensive details about this patch, it has confirmed the name and promises to share more information during the October 2 devlog. Given the developer's pattern of releasing significant updates every two months and the recent Dapper Delights update rolling out in late August, it’s reasonable to anticipate that Jungle Getaway will launch around mid-October 2024.

A Teaser that Leaves Fans Guessing

Like the Dapper Delights update and many of its predecessors, Jungle Getaway will be available for free, as confirmed by Gameloft. Just days before announcing the October 2 devlog, the company teased a new Disney Dreamlight Valley Star Path, which is expected to debut with the Jungle Getaway update. This teaser was presented through one of Gameloft's signature emoji sequences.

While previous hints have often been somewhat decipherable, this particular teaser has left fans scratching their heads. It seems to suggest a music, sound, or festival theme, though some fans speculate it may feature a fireworks sound effect.

According to Gameloft’s earlier content roadmap, Disney Dreamlight Valley will soon welcome Timon and Pumbaa into its roster of villagers. These beloved characters are slated to arrive as part of a Lion King-themed update in October 2024, likely coinciding with the Jungle Getaway content drop.

With Halloween just around the corner on October 31, Disney Dreamlight Valley may also see some festive additions soon. However, it remains unclear if these Halloween-themed elements will be part of the Jungle Getaway update or if they will introduce a completely different theme.
