Dead by Daylight is set to bring even more Castlevania-inspired content with the release of its upcoming chapter, Dominus. Following the success of the recent Castlevania DLC, fans of the iconic vampire-hunting series have been eagerly anticipating additional characters and elements from the franchise. The integration of Dracula as a Killer was widely praised, and Trevor Belmont’s introduction as the Survivor was well received, though many players are hopeful that more familiar faces from Castlevania will join the roster in the future.
Given the rich and expansive Castlevania universe, it’s no surprise that fans are advocating for the series to be treated similarly to Resident Evil within Dead by Daylight. With numerous protagonists beyond the Belmont Clan, the potential for adding new Survivors is high. Fortunately, a recent announcement offers a glimpse of more Castlevania content coming soon to the game.
The official Dead by Daylight Twitter account recently unveiled details about the upcoming Dominus chapter, which focuses on the Castlevania franchise. A teaser clip highlighted a range of characters, including Soma Cruz, Death, Shanoa, and Jonathan Morris, all appearing in-game.
Although the trailer confirms that Soma Cruz from Dawn of Sorrow will be a skin for Trevor Belmont, it appears that Shanoa and Jonathan Morris will serve as costumes for Yui Kimura and Felix Richter, respectively, based on how the reveal was presented. The trailer labels these unlockables as "Shanoa’s Dress" and "Jonathan’s Attire." Despite this, most fans are thrilled with the additions, especially given the recent release of the Castlevania Dominus Collection.
Here’s a breakdown of the exciting new unlockables coming with the Dominus chapter:
- Soma Cruz Skin (for Trevor Belmont)
- Jonathan’s Attire (for Felix Richter)
- Shanoa’s Dress (for Yui Kimura)
- True Form Dracula (for The Dark Lord)
- Death’s Cloak (for The Nurse)
- Dracula’s Castle (Charm)
- Dracula’s Head (Badge)
In addition to these character skins and costumes, the Dominus chapter will also introduce a "True Form" skin for Castlevania’s Dracula, along with a new Death’s Cloak attire for The Nurse. Players will also be able to unlock a Dracula’s Castle charm, a themed banner, and a badge. All these cosmetics will be part of the chapter’s Rift Pass, set to launch on October 8. While the Castlevania content is the main focus of Tome 21, fans are already speculating about other original Dead by Daylight characters potentially receiving new cosmetics.
As Dead by Daylight gears up for the return of its 2v8 mode, launching alongside the Dominus chapter, excitement is building among fans. Many believe that the Halloween season combined with Tome 21 could bring a wealth of new content for players to enjoy.
Additionally, rumors are swirling about new skins for popular Killers such as The Blight, The Spirit, and The Deathslinger, which could arrive during this chapter. Given the vast lore of Castlevania, it’s easy to imagine themed skins for these Killers becoming a reality if a collaboration between Behaviour and the Castlevania franchise continues.
With a rich blend of Castlevania content and fresh game modes on the horizon, the Dominus chapter is shaping up to be a thrilling addition for fans of Dead by Daylight.
