Mark Your Calendars: October 9 is a Major Day for Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans!

Exciting news awaits Disney Dreamlight Valley enthusiasts! On October 9, the game will unveil a significant free update titled Jungle Getaway. This latest addition will introduce beloved characters Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King, along with a fresh Star Path and a host of new features.

Fans have eagerly anticipated this date ever since Gameloft announced that details about the update would be shared on October 2. As the game approaches its one-year anniversary since exiting Early Access, numerous updates have continually introduced new quests and characters, keeping the excitement alive in the valley.

The upcoming features for Disney Dreamlight Valley were officially unveiled during a Developer Update. Players have been speculating about Timon and Pumbaa's arrival since late September, when Gameloft first hinted at the update’s title. Interestingly, these characters were hinted at earlier this year in a player satisfaction survey that asked which characters fans wanted to see in the game.

While the developer has noted that Jungle Getaway won’t be the largest update to date, the accompanying video indicates that most of the action will unfold within the already established Lion King Realm. Nevertheless, this update promises to deliver two long-requested characters.

Welcome Timon and Pumbaa to Disney Dreamlight Valley

Timon and Pumbaa will join an expanding roster of characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which already features Simba, Nala, and the devious Scar. New quests involving the duo will have players helping Timon achieve inner calm and introducing Pumbaa to the art of pottery. Additionally, the update will bring quality-of-life improvements, such as enhancing Scrooge McDuck's Store with new furniture to replace sold-out clothing items and offering various configurations in Edit Mode.

This month’s Star Path, titled The Night Show, will be a music festival-themed event, featuring clothing options inspired by Disney villains and princes. Players can also expect to find new furniture items that celebrate rock music, including stages and pyrotechnics. While this may not align with the Halloween-themed expectations fans might have had—given that the Haunted Holiday Star Path was released around this time last year, showcasing rewards from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, and The Haunted Mansion—the upcoming update promises to be a thrilling addition to the game.
