Black Ops 6 keeps up its reputation for rewarding players with hidden secrets and bonus loot, and the Spore Quest on Terminus Island is another exciting discovery. By tackling a spore infestation, players can earn themselves a free Perk-a-Cola and even upgrade their weapon to Tier 2 with a Refined Aetherium Crystal. Completing this quick quest offers a valuable boost early in the game, potentially by round 6.

Here’s how to finish the quest and claim your rewards.

Step 1: Set Sail and Locate a Spore-Covered Island

To begin, equip a weapon suited for long-range attacks—you’ll need it for dealing with pesky Parasites and shooting spores from afar. Board a boat and start circling the main Terminus Island, keeping an eye out for a rock covered in spores. Each player will encounter a different rock location, so the spore-infested rock won’t be in the same spot every game.

Once you’ve located the rock, shoot each spore until they’re all destroyed. Be prepared to face a few Parasites that spawn in response; you can choose to eliminate them or ignore them. After all the spores are taken out, you’ll hear a growl, signaling that the first phase is complete.

Step 2: Find and Destroy More Spore-Infested Rocks

Progress to the next round, then repeat the process. Take the boat out again to locate a new spore-covered rock, destroy all the spores, and deal with any Parasites that appear. This cycle needs to be repeated once more in a subsequent round. In total, you’ll need to clear out spores from three separate rocks to complete this part of the quest.

Step 3: Head to the Sea Caves and Clear Out the Spores

After destroying spores on three different islands, make your way to the Sea Caves, where Speed Cola is located. Inside, you’ll notice a spore on the ground. Shoot it, and you’ll soon find that the caves are teeming with spores. Clear out every spore in the area; doing so will cause more Parasites to spawn, so be prepared. Once you’ve destroyed the final spore, a wealth of loot will appear, along with a guaranteed Perk-a-Cola Power-Up. The perk is randomly assigned, adding an extra layer of surprise to your reward.

Completing this secret quest not only grants you a valuable perk early on but also gives you a shot at picking up a Refined Aetherium Crystal, which will instantly Pack-a-Punch your weapon to Tier 2. This quest is well worth the effort, offering a strong head start in every game!
