Netmarble, the renowned game studio known for popular titles such as Seven Knights, Marvel Future Fight, Tower of God, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, and more, has unveiled its plans to launch three new games at this year's G-Star, according to reports from Inven. The studio shared this information during a Q&A session with Inven.
Netmarble aims to expand its portfolio and increase profits with the introduction of these three new titles. The studio recently released its financial report for Q2 2023, which showcased its current standing, income, and expenses. In Q2 2023, Netmarble achieved sales of KRW 603.3 billion, along with overseas sales of KRW 519.1 billion.
The report also highlighted that while the sales of Marvel Contest of Champions increased in Q2, the studio's expenses for marketing the game to broader audiences also rose, resulting in a decrease in overall income from the game. Additionally, the operating expenses of the studio saw an increase in Q2, totaling KRW 640.5 billion.
Despite a quarter-to-quarter decrease of 2.1 billion in non-operating income, Netmarble remains steadfast in its plans for future releases. The studio currently has several new games in its portfolio, including those already released, those undergoing beta testing, and others set to be released soon.
Netmarble intends to showcase its releases for the next year at G-Star 2023. By unveiling these new titles at this year's event, the studio aims to provide fans with a glimpse of what they can expect in the future. While the names of the three upcoming games have not been disclosed, Netmarble has dropped hints regarding their features and offerings, as reported by Inven.
