Pokemon GO players will have the chance to catch a shiny Togedemaru later this month. Recently, Pokemon GO celebrated its eight-year anniversary with the usual Pokemon GO Fest event. Pokemon GO Fest featured increased spawns for rare Pokemon, Necrozma in raids, and many more reasons for fans to be excited about Niantic's augmented reality mobile game.
As usual, Pokemon GO players were incentivized to take part in Pokemon GO Fest through Ultra Unlock rewards. By collectively completing objectives as a community, Pokemon GO players unlocked various events that Niantic will roll out to the game in the coming weeks. One such event is Strength of Steel, which is themed entirely around Steel-type Pokemon.
The Ultra Unlock: Strength of Steel event runs from Thursday, July 25 at 10:00am to Tuesday, July 30 at 8:00pm local time. The Strength of Steel start date will see the debut of shiny Togedemaru. Shiny Togedemaru doesn't look all that much different from the standard version of the Pokemon, but fans will no doubt jump at the opportunity to add the rare critter to their roster.
