As the gaming world eagerly awaits the next installment of the iconic Call of Duty franchise, Activision has officially confirmed the highly anticipated multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. While the larger Call of Duty NEXT event is scheduled for August 28, the spotlight will first shine on the Black Ops 6 multiplayer on Monday, August 26 at 7am PT.

This announcement comes as no surprise, as the game has already unveiled its single-player campaign and the fan-favorite Zombies mode. Developed by Raven Software, the single-player campaign is expected to deliver the classic Call of Duty experience, with over-the-top action sequences, impressive set-pieces, and occasional stealth elements. The Zombies mode, on the other hand, will offer a familiar yet refreshing experience, allowing solo players to save and quit their matches mid-game.
However, the true excitement lies in the unveiling of the Black Ops 6 multiplayer. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the new features and innovations that will shape the online experience. While details have been closely guarded, leaks have revealed a tantalizing list of potential multiplayer maps, including Babylon, Derelict, Gala, Pit, Protocol, Rewind, SCUD, Skyline, and Stakeout. The Rewind map, set outside a strip mall, has particularly piqued the interest of the community.

Beyond the map roster, the reveal is expected to shed light on the game's overall multiplayer offerings. Rumors of an omnidirectional movement system, allowing players to sprint in any direction, have already sparked discussions among the fan base. However, the true extent of the multiplayer's innovations and enhancements will only be unveiled during the highly anticipated August 26 event.

As the countdown to the multiplayer reveal begins, Call of Duty fans can also mark their calendars for the upcoming Call of Duty NEXT event on August 28, as well as the start of the Black Ops 6 multiplayer open beta test on August 30. With so much on the horizon, the gaming community is poised to witness the next evolution of the beloved Call of Duty franchise.
