Players of Diablo 4 are facing a frustrating issue with loot from treasure goblins disappearing before they can collect it. This problem is impacting enjoyment of the newly returned March of the Goblins event, which is central to the game’s loot-driven experience.
Treasure goblins have always been a beloved feature in the Diablo series, and their inclusion in Diablo 4 continues that tradition. These elusive creatures appear at random, carrying a sack of valuable loot that players must quickly grab before the goblins escape. The March of the Goblins event, which returned on August 27, increased the spawn rate of these treasure goblins, providing more chances for players to hunt them down and claim their rewards. This event runs until September 3, after which the goblins’ spawn rate will revert to normal.
However, players have reported issues where the loot dropped by treasure goblins vanishes before they can pick it up. A Reddit user named Evlilenor shared a video illustrating the problem, where loot from goblins during a world boss event disappeared before it could be collected. Another player described their frustration at seeing the goblin's loot vanish just as they reached it. These issues have sparked concern among players who rely on treasure goblins for rare and valuable items.
The frustration is evident in the Reddit comments, especially given previous loot-related problems in Diablo 4. Some players have suggested implementing a loot filter to manage the high volume of items dropping in the game, but Blizzard has yet to officially address this request. The current issues with treasure goblins have intensified the demand for a loot filter, with players believing it could prevent valuable items from disappearing.
Despite these setbacks, Diablo 4 remains a premier choice for loot enthusiasts. With the expansion Vessel of Hatred on the horizon, players are hopeful that these bugs will be resolved, allowing them to fully enjoy the new content, challenges, and additional loot set to launch with the DLC on October 8.
