Wuthering Waves Leak Unveils New Characters in Update 1.4

A fresh leak for Wuthering Waves has revealed that two new characters, Camellya and Dengdeng, are slated for release in version 1.4. Over time, Wuthering Waves has introduced five new Resonators, expanding the game's universe with fresh faces and exciting storylines.

The most recent addition is Zhezhi, featured in a banner alongside the 4-star Glacio Resonator duo Baizhi and Sanhua, as well as the Fusion-pistol wielder Chixia. Earlier in August, fans were introduced to the 5-star character The Shorekeeper and the 4-star Resonator Youhu, with both expected to appear in version 1.3’s banners. As the game continues to rise in popularity, the community eagerly keeps track of potential updates, with recent leaks hinting at new characters to come.

Twitter user WuWa_Universe revealed that Camellya and Dengdeng will be the new characters in Wuthering Waves version 1.4. Camellya is expected to be a sword-wielding Havoc Resonator, while Dengdeng will use a broadblade, though her elemental affinity remains a mystery. Meanwhile, Reddit user NoyaTea confirmed that Dengdeng “is not a loli,” addressing community concerns. Instead, she will be “slightly shorter than The Shorekeeper,” and, like Yaoyao and Xiangling from Genshin Impact, Dengdeng will have a pet companion, though more details have yet to surface.

Rumors Surround Camellya and Dengdeng's Arrival

As of now, there are no official visuals for Dengdeng, while Camellya has already made an in-game appearance. Previously, there were rumors that Camellya would not be playable until version 2.0, but if the leak is true, she will arrive much sooner. This would make Camellya the third playable Havoc Resonator, joining the ranks of Danjin from the Midnight Rangers and Taoqi, director of border defense at the Ministry of Development.
