Leaked Gameplay Footage Reveals Crazy Taxi and Shinobi Reboots

Exciting news has surfaced as early development gameplay footage of Sega’s highly anticipated reboots for Crazy Taxi and Shinobi has been leaked online. This revelation offers a tantalizing glimpse into what fans can expect from these iconic franchises.

Sega’s Revival of Classic Franchises

Gameplay Leaks for Crazy Taxi and Shinobi Reboots

The Game Awards 2023 trailer hinted at the return of Sega’s beloved franchises, including Golden Axe, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, and Shinobi. Although the trailer provided only a brief preview, recent leaks offer a more detailed look at these reboots.

Ryan from the Bronx, a known insider who previously operated under the pseudonym MIdori, has leaked gameplay footage of both the Crazy Taxi and Shinobi reboots. The Crazy Taxi footage is particularly intriguing, as it confirms the game’s shift towards a competitive multiplayer format. The 2022 development clip reveals players racing to pick up and drop off passengers, indicating a stronger emphasis on racing elements.

According to Ryan, the Crazy Taxi reboot is slated for a 2027 release and is expected to debut on the yet-to-be-announced Switch 2.

In addition to Crazy Taxi, Ryan has also shared footage from the Shinobi revival. While most of the footage focuses on the game's introductory cinematic, there are also scenes featuring what appears to be Joe Musashi navigating through a forest and combating enemies.

Though the leaked gameplay clips are brief, they provide valuable insights into Sega’s plans for these reboots.
