Go-Go Town! is gearing up for its first major update, set to launch on September 15. Titled Build and Bustle, this highly anticipated release will expand the Steam version of the game with new zones, customization features, and exciting gameplay mechanics that are sure to enhance the overall experience.
Go-Go Town! is a whimsical city-building and management game that blends a playful, Stardew Valley-style vibe with quirky co-op fun. Released in June 2024 through Steam Early Access, the game has already garnered nearly 1,100 "Very Positive" reviews, with players praising its variety and lighthearted tone. Whether it's high-fiving chickens, befriending aliens with bagels, or causing mayhem on the streets, Go-Go Town! has quickly won over fans of the genre.
The Build and Bustle update promises to elevate the management gameplay of Go-Go Town! to new heights. Scheduled for release on Sunday, September 15, at 7pm PT / 10pm ET, this update introduces a wide range of new features designed to fuel the growth of your bustling town. Players will now be able to purchase additional land using EGO currency by locating Stanley S. Trollson, a "suspicious NPC" who will hang around the edges of these locked zones, ready to expand your town’s borders.
The update brings a major expansion to the city-building mechanics, allowing players to customize their industry zones. You’ll have the ability to shape and size farming, fishing, mining, and forestry areas, each functioning as an independent zone. For those looking to boost their resource production, multiple zones of the same type can now be established.
Another exciting addition is the new fast travel system—a four-line subway network that makes getting around town much easier. In addition, players will gain access to car parks and vehicle racks, offering a convenient way to store and retrieve rides. By interacting with these storage spots, you can bind a vehicle to them and recall it whenever needed.

Players will also enjoy a slew of new decoration options, including Roman-style garden designs, boom gates, road bridges, and giant chess and checker pieces with matching checkerboard tiles for terraforming. Additionally, new cosmetics such as hairstyles, glasses, and hats will allow for further player customization. The update also includes fun new features like a hedge maze and introduces six new townies to interact with.
While Go-Go Town! is currently available only on PC, developer Prideful Sloth has plans to bring the game to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in the future. The console versions are expected to launch alongside the game's full release, which is currently projected for the second quarter of 2025.
