With Assassin's Creed Shadows set to launch in just a few months, there’s still uncertainty about the graphical options available to players. While many expect a 60fps mode as standard these days, some high-profile titles, such as Dragon's Dogma 2 and Gotham Knights, have settled for 30fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Fortunately, Ubisoft appears committed to delivering a 60fps option for Shadows, similar to what we saw with Star Wars Outlaws earlier this year. According to recent information shared by Arabhardware on Twitter, Assassin's Creed Shadows will indeed support 60fps on all platforms.

However, Arabhardware did not clarify whether this includes the Xbox Series S, a console that has seen developers struggle to achieve 60fps. For instance, the developers of Black Myth: Wukong reportedly had difficulty optimizing their game for the Series S. It seems Ubisoft has successfully managed to support this console, though, which is encouraging news for players.

Dynamic Weather Effects on Gameplay

In addition to the 60fps mode, Arabhardware also reported that weather will significantly impact gameplay in Assassin's Creed Shadows. It’s said that enemies can suffer from sunstroke if exposed to the sun for too long, and that Naoe will be less audible during rainstorms.

If these claims hold true, Shadows will feature intricate weather mechanics, adding depth to the gameplay alongside several returning elements. Ubisoft has already confirmed the return of double assassinations, a mechanic not seen since Assassin's Creed Syndicate. With these engaging weather features, Shadows promises to be more complex and immersive than its predecessors.
