Festival of Lights 2024: Exclusive to India

In a recent announcement on their official blog, Niantic unveiled details of the upcoming Festival of Lights event in Pokémon GO. This special event will run from November 1 to November 4, 2024, and will be available exclusively to players in India. During this celebration, a new regional costumed Pokémon will make its debut, with more specifics set to be revealed on October 16. In addition to the new Pokémon, players can look forward to a range of bonuses and activities during this festive event.

Festival of Lights Event Bonuses and Features

Throughout the Festival of Lights event, players will enjoy double Stardust and XP for catching Pokémon, making this an ideal time to level up quickly. The spawn rate of Team GO Rocket Grunts will also be increased, providing more chances to battle and catch revamped Pokémon from the newly updated Team GO Rocket lineups. Additionally, the duration of Incense will be extended to three hours, enhancing the chances of encountering rare Pokémon.

Several Pokémon will appear more frequently when Incense is used during the event, including Alolan Geodude, Hisuian Voltorb, Slugma, Volbeat, Illumise, Litwick, Morelull, and Tadbulb. Hisuian Voltorb, Dedenne, Morelull, and an undisclosed Pokémon will also be featured in Pokémon GO raids, giving players even more opportunities to expand their collection.

New Field Research and Mystery Encounters
