In Black Myth: Wukong, uncovering hidden bosses requires specific items, and one such item is the Loong Scales. These elusive scales are essential for encountering Loong bosses but are well-hidden in the game. To obtain them, players must navigate Chapter 2 and defeat Black Bear Guai.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to finding the Loong Scales and locating the Loong bosses in the game.
1. Reach Yellow Wind Ridge: Start by making your way to the Yellow Wind Ridge area.
2. Activate the Sandgate Village Entrance Keeper’s Shrine: Once there, activate the shrine and then move away from it to cross the wooden bridge.
3. Climb the Slope: Ascend the slope and proceed downhill until you encounter an enemy wielding a shield.
4. Defeat the Enemies: Eliminate all enemies in the vicinity and proceed to the large gate on your right. Open this gate to engage in a battle with the King of the Flowing Sands and the Second Prince.
5. Activate the Valley of Despair Keeper’s Shrine: After defeating both bosses, activate this shrine.
6. Explore the Cavernous Area: Move away from the shrine and enter the cavern ahead. Follow the main path until you reach an arena adorned with murals on the walls.
7. Trigger the Fight: Drop down to initiate the fight with the First Prince of the Flowing Sands.
8. Find the Hidden Passage: Upon defeating the First Prince, examine the mural-covered wall. Use the Wandering Wight's Spirit attack to create an opening. Enter through this gap to discover a locked chest. Alternatively, you can lure the First Prince into attacking the wall to open it.
9. Retrieve the Loong Scales: Open the chest to acquire the Loong Scales. With these scales, you can now hunt down the Loong bosses.
There are four Loong bosses scattered throughout Black Myth: Wukong. Defeating each one will reward you with valuable items. Here’s where to find them:
Red Loong
Located behind a waterfall near the Outside the Forest Keeper's Shrine. Fast travel to the shrine, head straight while staying left, and listen for a voice near the waterfall. Interact with the waterfall to enter Red Loong’s arena.
Black Loong
Go to the Rockrest Keeper's Shrine. Move backward and ascend the stairs on the right. Interact with the sand fall to reach Black Loong.
Cyan Loong
Found on a cliff near the Turtle Island Keeper's Shrine. Ensure the shrine is on your left, then move to the right. After a short walk, drop down and approach the statue to trigger the battle with Cyan Loong.
Yellow Loong
The final Loong boss, Yellow Loong, is located near the Relief of the Fallen Loong Keeper’s Shrine. This boss is particularly challenging, so approach with caution. Move away from the Keeper's Shrine and head to the nearby gazebo. As you approach, a cutscene will start, leading to the fight with Yellow Loong.
Note: Yellow Loong will only appear after you have defeated the other three Loong bosses.
With this guide, you’re well-equipped to find the Loong Scales and take on the formidable Loong bosses. Good luck!
