The latest Overwatch 2 patch has introduced significant changes to four heroes, including the new support character, Juno. Debuting in Season 12 alongside the Clash mode and two new maps, Juno quickly became a fan favorite among the community. However, just weeks after her arrival, she’s already seen adjustments, as part of a broader patch impacting several heroes.

The Season 12 update, which dropped late last month, brought a slew of new features to Overwatch 2. Alongside the new Hero Mastery courses for Zarya and Pharah, the Group Respawn system, and a competitive rank reset, there were numerous adjustments to the hero roster. D.Va, Echo, and Hanzo received nerfs, while Lifeweaver and Zarya enjoyed buffs. Juno's initial reception has been positive, although some players feel her primary damage could use a boost.

Now, with the latest patch, further tweaks have been made. Winston’s Tesla Cannon damage has been reduced from 75 to 70, while Sombra’s Virus ability now deals 75 damage over time, down from 90. Ashe has also been hit with nerfs, affecting both her rifle’s primary damage and reload speed. As for Juno, her Mediblaster now fires faster, but her damage and healing capabilities have been slightly lowered.

The changes to Ashe have sparked confusion among players, particularly regarding her already lengthy reload time. Many have voiced concerns that her full reload, one of the slowest in the game, has become even more cumbersome. While players can still cancel the reload mid-way to fire, the added delay may prove problematic. On the other hand, Juno fans are pleased to see her fire rate return to its original speed, though the trade-off in damage output has left some questioning her effectiveness in combat. Without the ability to land headshots, Juno's lowered damage may present challenges for support players.

As always, only time will tell if these changes will be revisited. New heroes like Juno typically undergo more frequent adjustments than their more established counterparts, so it's possible she could see further balancing in the future. Meanwhile, many Overwatch 2 players are still calling for a more substantial Sombra nerf. While her Virus ability has seen a damage reduction, the change is unlikely to satisfy those who believe she remains too powerful. As Season 12 progresses, fans should expect more patches and updates to tweak hero balance.
