Introduction

WeatherWake is a weather-aware alarm that moves your wake-up time earlier when rain, snow, or cold is predicted so you have extra minutes to grab an umbrella, add a layer, or catch an earlier bus. WeatherWake advances the alarm by 15-60 minutes only on days with adverse conditions and leaves your regular time unchanged on clear mornings. The app is built for commuters and anyone who prefers a simple, privacy-first alarm that adapts to real weather.

Key Features

WeatherWake automatically rings earlier on rainy, snowy, or cold days while keeping your normal time on clear days. Four sensitivity levels let you choose +15, +30, +45, or +60 minutes of extra time. The app selects accurate weather sources by region, using official services where available (National Weather Service in the US and Korea Meteorological Administration in Korea) and a global forecast service elsewhere. To save battery, WeatherWake checks the forecast once, about 90 minutes before your alarm, then returns to sleep. It supports 394 major cities with approximate location lookup and manual city selection, and includes lock-screen, vibration, and snooze support.

Advantages

Prevents surprise weather from disrupting your morning and reduces the chance of being late on wet or cold days. WeatherWake follows a privacy-first approach with no sign-up, no account, and no personal data collection. The interface is simple and focused on reliably waking you at the right time, and the low battery impact comes from checking forecasts only once per alarm cycle. Forecast sources are chosen automatically for dependable results in most regions.

Disadvantages

Weather forecasts require an internet connection; the alarms themselves will still sound offline. City coverage centers on major locations (394 cities) and uses approximate location only, which may be limiting in some rural areas. WeatherWake requires Android 8.0 or later and uses roughly 15 MB of storage.

Version Information

Version 1.2 improved forecast accuracy by integrating official providers: the National Weather Service for the US, the Korea Meteorological Administration for Korea, and a global forecast service elsewhere, with automatic selection of the best source for your area.
