IHSS EVV Mobile App

California's In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program has launched a mobile app called IHSSEVV to provide an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) solution for IHSS and WPCS providers. The app allows providers to check-in and check-out for each workday with easy-to-use screens. They can select the recipient they are working for, indicate if they are checking in or out, and specify if they are in the home or community. The app also adds the provider's hours to their IHSS Timesheet. While the app captures the start time, end time, and location using Location Services, it does not track the provider at any other time. The IHSSEVV app is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act Federal EVV requirements. It also allows data capturing without internet connectivity, storing encrypted visit information until the user has internet access.

- Automatic Timesheet Updates: The app conveniently adds the provider's hours to their IHSSTimesheet at the end of their workday, eliminating the need for manual recording and calculation of hours.

- Location Services: The app captures the start time, end time, and location of each visit using Location Services. However, it does not track the provider at any other time, only when they check-in and check-out.

- Compliance with Federal Requirements: California's IHSSEVV Solution is fully compliant with the 21st Century Cures Act Federal EVV requirements. It captures essential information such as the date, time, and location of the start and end of IHSS/WPCS services, as well as the recipient's name and the location where the visit ends.

- Offline Data Capture: The IHSSEVV app allows for complete capturing of data even when the user does not have internet connectivity. It securely stores the encrypted visit information and transmits the data once the user regains internet connectivity.
