The app is very clunky, lags constantly which is not due to my Internet because any other platform works fine. The PlayStation version keeps lowering the resolution automatically for no reason. The numbering of anime seasons is weird. Ex: a series that has a movie would have that movie labelled as S44, or something else random like that. The app is not worth it at all.2024-04-02 16:23:04

Servers are beans, if you want a streaming service that lets you watch a show for 5 minutes then buffer then freeze, then restart after 30 seconds and then for no reason at all randomly jump back 100 episodes then this is the one for you. All my other services run great at 1080p and 4k but this app is just terrible. Shows randomly appear as unavailable then come back only to disappear again. App freezes on Android TV randomly and boots you back to the home menu, Android phone app just crashes.2024-04-02 03:44:21

Very buggy app. Especially on Android TV's. Fails to stream very frequently and freezes a lot. I have to keep force stopping the app and then reopening it again to try and stream. Also, subtitles are still present even when you turn them off which is highly annoying when watching dubbed content. For all the above reasons I will not be getting a premium subscription. Phone restarts a few seconds after I start watching a video. It started after the latest update, my phone restarts every time I watch a video using the app. This forced me to watch through my phone browser. Surprisingly, I don't get the same issue using my browser to watch videos on crunchyroll. The app is we much can convenient but I can't use it since my phone will just keep restarting. can't watch something in English and have subtitles. has to be in another language for English subtitles to show up, even when set to closed captioning. have reported this many times and it is never addressed. little to no care about accessibility. Edit; this is EVERY show that is available in English audio. The option won't even show up for subtitles if you have English audio on. I've sent a contact before, nothing happens. this streaming service is inconsistent. it's a SONY company and the servers should be flawless but after 2-3 episodes it starts to buffer and then stops and kicks me out. I quit using Crunchyroll for a couple of years for that same reason until there was an anime I wanted to watch. however the problem isn't fixed and it doesn't matter which TV I watch, brand new too of the line Sony or a Phillips, the service is very glitchy.
