ScratchJr

ScratchJr is a tablet app that introduces children aged five and up to the basics of computer programming through a simple visual interface. Kids snap together colorful programming blocks to make characters move, dance, jump and speak, while a built-in paint editor, voice and sound recording, and photo import let them personalize projects. Parents and educators will appreciate that ScratchJr is designed for early learners, helping develop sequencing, problem solving, and early literacy and numeracy skills as children create interactive stories and projects rather than passively consuming content.
