Air Matters is a lightweight app for monitoring local air quality, pollen and weather. Air Matters displays real-time AQI and pollutant concentrations including PM2.5, PM10, O3 and NO2, provides short-term forecasts and issues location-based alerts so you can make informed decisions about outdoor activities.

Air Matters provides real-time air quality index (AQI) and pollutant readings, pollen forecasts with allergy risk information for common pollen types, and a local weather summary alongside short-term forecasts. The app includes an interactive map with monitoring stations and regional air quality overlays, trend charts and recent history to track changes over hours and days, and support for custom alerts, home screen widgets and multiple saved locations.

How it works

Air Matters aggregates data from public monitoring networks, local sensors and validated models to present an estimate of current conditions for your chosen locations. The app updates regularly, supports multiple locations and provides notifications when levels change; you can also enter locations manually if you prefer not to share device location.

Privacy and permissions

The app requests location permission only to provide accurate local information and allows manual location entry. Data sources and permission use are limited to delivering air quality, pollen and weather information; no unnecessary personal data is required or collected.
