Forescore

Forescore is a compact football prediction and live match tracker built for fans who want to forecast results, follow fixtures and measure performance across matchdays and full seasons. The app combines a streamlined prediction workflow with up-to-the-minute match information so you can set outcome or exact-score picks, watch live results update leaderboards and manage private or public competitions from a single, easy-to-scan interface.

Key features

The feature set pairs prediction gameplay with fast access to fixtures, results and team form. Make outcome or exact-score forecasts, earn points for accuracy and see standings refresh automatically as matches conclude. The app delivers push notifications to remind you before kick-off, a concise UK TV listings section for finding televised matches, and a snapshot of the most popular community picks to help you make informed choices. Forescore intentionally keeps settings focused on fairness and transparency: scoring rules are visible before joining a leaderboard and medals and trophies are awarded according to the same public criteria.

Gameplay and controls

Predictions are designed for quick mobile interaction. Tap a fixture to open the prediction screen, choose home win, draw or away win or enter an exact scoreline, then confirm with a single tap. Large touch targets and clear confirmation feedback reduce input errors and speed up the selection process on small screens. You can edit predictions up until a match’s scheduled kick-off time; once a match is under way the app locks entries to protect competitive integrity. Notification settings let you choose how and when reminders arrive so you can avoid missed deadlines without intrusive prompts.

Progression and challenge systems

Progression focuses on matchday and seasonal performance rather than artificial leveling. Weekly leaderboards reward short-term insight while season tables track consistency over longer campaigns, with medals for the top three performers each matchday and trophies to recognise season leaders. The scoring model gives a fixed reward for correctly predicting outcomes and a larger bonus for exact scorelines; the exact-score bonus scales with participation in each leaderboard so both small private groups and larger public tables remain competitive and meaningful.

Live data, results and TV listings

Live updates bring score changes, substitutions and final results into the app so leaderboards and season points are finalised quickly after matches finish. Fixtures, league tables and recent match history are presented together to provide context when you place picks, and the UK TV guide helps you find which fixtures are broadcast locally. Popular community picks and team form indicators are shown on match pages so you can evaluate momentum and community sentiment before submitting a forecast.

Visual design and accessibility

The visual approach emphasises clarity and fast scanning: readable typography, clear contrast and compact match cards present essential information without clutter. Navigation is deliberately shallow so you can reach fixtures, leaderboards or private leagues in a couple of taps. Accessibility options include legible fonts, adjustable notification preferences and large tap targets to support different motor and visual needs. The interface adapts for phones and larger screens to make tables and match lists comfortable to review across devices.

Leaderboards and private leagues

Create private leaderboards to compete in a controlled group environment or join public tables to test your forecasting against a wider community. Organisers can invite participants and set simple privacy options for private leagues, while public leaderboards provide a way to compare performance across many users. Leaderboards update automatically as results are processed and season summaries help you track progress and history over time, making it simple to follow rivalries and recurring matchday winners within Forescore.

Offline use and data handling

The app caches recently loaded fixtures, tables and your own predictions so you can review essential information when connectivity is poor; live updates and new results require an active connection. Data usage is minimised by loading match lists and brief updates rather than streaming continuous feeds, and you can adjust sync settings if you want to limit background refreshes to Wi-Fi only. Personal data handling follows common app practices: account and leaderboard participation data are used to calculate scores and display standings.

Known limitations

There are a few practical limits to note: predictions cannot be changed after kick-off, the exact-score bonus varies with participant numbers, and the built-in TV guide covers UK listings only. These constraints keep competition rules consistent and transparent while helping the app remain lightweight and focused on forecasting and fair ranking.
