Bonjour RATP

Bonjour RATP is a mobile app that brings Paris public transport information into one place, offering live departures, route planning across metro, RER, tram and bus, network maps, and service alerts. It simplifies trip planning with favorites, step-free access details and customizable notifications.

Core features and tools

Designed for commuters and visitors alike, Bonjour RATP focuses on essential transit tasks. The app provides a journey planner that combines different modes, interactive network maps with station details, and live departure boards to reduce waiting time. You can save frequent journeys, monitor service disruptions, and set alerts for delays or planned maintenance on selected lines.

Navigation and user interface

The interface emphasizes clarity: quick access tabs for Home, Planner, Maps and Alerts make common actions straightforward. Map views show line colors and interchange stations at a glance, while search supports station names, addresses and points of interest. Bonjour RATP balances compact information density with readable fonts and iconography, keeping navigation predictable even during busy commutes.

Planning routes and alternatives

Route planning in Bonjour RATP lets you compare travel options by time, transfers and walking distance. Enter an origin and destination, then review suggested itineraries ranked by fastest or fewest changes. Each result displays step-by-step instructions, estimated durations and transfer locations. The planner also suggests alternatives when a line is disrupted, so you can pick the best compromise between speed and convenience.

Real-time updates and service alerts

Real-time data drives the app’s departure boards and alert system. Live timings for platforms and stops reduce uncertainty, showing delays or cancellations as soon as they are reported. Push notifications can be customized for specific lines or stations, so you only receive the alerts that matter to your daily trips. Bonjour RATP also aggregates scheduled works and strikes to help with longer-term planning.

Accessibility and station information

Accessibility information is integrated into station pages. Details such as step-free access, elevator availability and platform layouts are visible before you set out, helping users who need barrier-free routes. Station entries include first/last train times, nearby entrances, and connections to other transport modes like bike-share or regional trains.

Customization and personal workflow

The app offers features to tailor the experience to your routine. Mark favorite stations and routes for instant access, create widgets for home screen shortcuts, and adjust notification preferences to match commute hours. Bonjour RATP supports multiple user profiles so households can store different sets of saved trips and alerts without mixing preferences.

Performance, compatibility and offline use

Bonjour RATP is optimized to work smoothly on a wide range of Android devices, using modest battery and data resources. Key features such as saved routes and downloaded network maps remain accessible offline, which is useful in underground sections or when connectivity is limited. Background updates refresh data efficiently, minimizing interruptions while keeping information current.

Privacy and data handling

Privacy controls are available to limit location sharing and push notifications. The app requests only the permissions necessary to improve route accuracy and deliver live updates. Usage data may be collected to improve services, but options are provided to opt out of analytics and targeted features if you prefer a more private experience.

Practical tips for daily use

To get the most out of Bonjour RATP, enable location services for faster route suggestions and activate alerts for lines you use regularly. Save home and work addresses to speed up one-tap planning, and download the map of the network before long trips to ensure offline access. Use the app’s favorites and widget options to jump directly to departure boards for your nearest station.
